About Us

Mid-Atlantic Water Services started as a mom-and-pop venture when our founders, Andy and Pam Beyerlein, opened the business in their Annapolis-area home. They worked out of their basement, stocked inventory in their dining room, and ran one truck for service calls. Andy, a master plumber and water treatment specialist, single-handedly served as the company technician.

As Mid-Atlantic Water Services flourished, the Beyerleins maintained a simple business philosophy: Always take care of your customer.

Fast forward more than 30 years. Mid-Atlantic Water Services has grown into the biggest water treatment services business in the Annapolis area. Today we have real offices and a staff of highly-qualified water treatment specialists. Andy and Pam’s son, Tim, has come on board as general manager. What has not changed from those early days is our business philosophy: Always take care of the customer.

We Improve Well Water

“We’re kind of a niche market,” said Tim, who holds the same master plumber credentials as his father. “We’re a water treatment company. We deal mostly with wells. There are a lot of places that don’t have city water. There is a big need for water treatment here. “I look at it like it’s a seatbelt,” Tim notes. “You don’t always need it, but when you need it, you’re going to be really glad you have it. City water can have problems. If you are drinking city water and they accidentally mess up the chlorine numbers, you could get too much coming through, so it’s a safety for yourself to put in a drinking system.” When it comes to city water and contamination, we seek to inform, not to scare you. “We do not believe in scare tactics,” Tim says. “We want to put the information out there and say, ‘Listen, this is what they’re saying is in your water.’ If you are worried about it, these are the solutions we can provide.”

We sell top-notch equipment and always recommend the best water treatment system for your specific needs. We never sell a solution over the phone because we need to see your water in person.
